You Can Always Depend On A Good Pair Of Boots

When you go hiking, it’s easy to get caught up in the latest gadgets. But don’t forget that the most important thing is a good pair of boots. No matter how fancy your gadgets are, your boots get you where you’re going.

When I started this adventure, I was lucky enough to get a pair of LA SPORTIVA PYRAMID GTX mid-level hiking boots. I’ve had many pairs of hiking boots in the past, and I usually wear the same pair all year long. I put a lot of miles on my boots, and these boots have held up well. For the past year and a half, I’ve been carrying my 220-pound body and my son, who started at 27 pounds. I’m down to 195 pounds, and he’s up to 36 pounds, but we’re still going strong. He walks a little more now, but that’s beside the point. These boots have endured many miles in all types of weather, and they’re still super water-resistant. I had some issues breaking them in—it took longer than usual—but once they were right, I felt unstoppable. I highly recommend these rugged boots to anyone looking to cover long distances across various terrains. One standout feature that has saved me numerous times is the built-in brake at the back that allows you to slide, roll your heel, and come to a halt. With the Gore-Tex lining and Vibram sole, these boots will keep you going all year round.
